We are a body of believers representing many backgrounds and cultures but we all have a common faith with Jesus at the centre!
We accept that we have different personalities and gifts, but understand that the unity of the Spirit is established when we accept our differences and use them to work together as a family in the service of God and His church. We understand that unity does not come by trying to be the same!
Herne Hill Baptist Church is a church that encourages the exploration and use of the gifts that God has given each one in a safe and loving environment. To that end, we see different members leading and speaking at our services and meetings but with our Pastor conducting services regularly.
Our worship in song and music is blended with a mix of modern and traditional styles but we understand that true worship is a life style, reflected in our daily walk with the Lord.
Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Andrew Miles, has a heart to see the church grow spiritually so as to enable numerical growth. He is often heard to say " We are not here to fly kites, we are here to train eagles!".
